Gold Coast coach Neil Henry says he can't see a reason why their bid to use new recruit Dale Copley in Friday night's NRL clash against Parramatta will be rejected.
The injury-ravaged Titans will know on Thursday whether the NRL has granted them a special exemption to inject the former Sydney Roosters centre into their home clash.
Copley was granted an immediate release by the Roosters on Wednesday, 24 hours after Henry had to submit his 21-strong squad for the Eels clash.
Henry was confident the Titans would be granted permission to use Copley, especially with English centre Dan Sarginson (knee) in serious doubt.
"Today at some time hopefully we will know," Henry said.
"We have to have a contingency plan if they knock him back but I can't really see a reason (why they would).
"We couldn't name him in the 21 because we weren't sure he would come - that was out of our hands."
Copley trained with the Titans on Thursday.
