Giant Gold Coast forward Dave Taylor is reportedly set to quit the NRL to join French-based Super League club Catalans.
The 120kg giant ended a one-game exile from the Titans on Monday night as he replaced injured skipper Nate Myles in the line-up for a 24-14 win over Parramatta.
But the Courier-Mail reports that in the build-up to the game, Taylor told his teammates he had decided to sign up with the French team.
Despite having a year left on his contract at the Titans, it's been rumoured the club is looking to offload the underperforming star and has given him permission to seek a new team.
Titans coach Neil Henry praised Taylor for his display against the Eels, in which the former Queensland and Australia representative picked up 93 metres from 11 runs and also made 22 tackles.
"He made a couple of good plays defensively where he kept working on the inside, which he needs to do, and a couple of strong carries, which we all know he can do," Henry said.
"He's trying to do his best and trying to finish the year on a strong note, as the whole team is."
