The Titans face-off against St George this week but more alarming than that is the possibility of facing their sixth straight loss.
But thatís not going to happen because we have a little wiz in our sky-rocket that weíre waiting to unleash. Even though he hasnít been named in the squad everyoneís chomping at the bitt to see Daniel Mortimer run out in the halves for his maiden Gold Coast match. He will most likely be pairing up with Maurice Blair, who has been slowly growing in skill since sporadically covering for the injured Aidan Sezer and Albert Kelly.
James Roberts has been named in the centreís but Iím not sure how set in stone his starting spot actually is. Brad Takairangi has been named in the halves but Mortimerís imminent inclusion may push him back to the centreís, leaving the rampaging Roberts either on the bench or missing out completely. Personally I hope olí rampaging Roberts keeps his spot because heís a dynamic, exciting player that could cause real problems and attacking opportunities.
Our Origin players, Greg Bird, Nate Myles and Dave Taylor have all been named to back up after the ludicrously violent second Origin.
David Mead still finds himself on the wing which is no doubt fuelling the rumours that he is looking for another club where he can exclusively play fullback.
Iíve got a good feeling about this game. I think we can slay the Dragons without breaking a sweat. Kevin Gordon is in electric form, the majority of our forwards and back-rowers are all in good nick, James Roberts is itching to prove himself and the impending inclusion of Daniel Mortimer will give us some genuine play in the halves.
Will the Titans be able to snap a five match losing streak against the Dragons?
