Dave Taylor's heroics weren't enough to get the Titans over the line against the Warriors last nigt, going down 24-16.
The Titans injury list may have increased with centre Brad Takairangi a late withdrawal and Beau Falloon leaving the field. Thank Christ we have the bye next round, hopefully some of our crippled stars can recuperate and get on the mend.
Brad Tighe came in for the injured Brad Takairangi, pairing David Mead in the centre's.
Kalifa Faifai Loa was denied what would have been a cracking try early on. The "basketball" pass Faifai Loa received was deemed to be forward which is absolute rubbish: it was flat at worst. Infuriating stuff really.
Then the Coaltrain kicked into gear, scoring three tries. Brute force, strength and surprisingly spritely reflexes for such a big bloke left the Warriors reeling. With this hat-trick Dave Taylor has reminded Mal Meninga that he's come a long way from the Coaltrain that was dropped from the Maroon's squad in 2012.
Paul Carter stepped up against the monstrous Kiwi's forward pack and held his own against those giants.
It's hard to say it but Zillman was pretty weak at fullback.
Hopefully the bye will give the Titans a bit of much needed rest and some time to regroup and heal. We need to work on our roster and see if we can't get some continuity back into our side, despite the massive casualty list. We need to have the best players in their most affective positions. I just don't know if Zillman is the man for fullback just yet after such a long injury lay-off.
What do the Titans need to do to improve? Who needs to be where?
