The Titans were able to get away with two competition points over the Cowboys last night but it was a sloppy 13-12 win.
The match was highlighted by 33 handling errors, some of which blew almost certain tries for both sides.
JT opened the scoring for the Cowboys when he picked up the crumbs after Brent Tate allegedly "swatted back" a Robert Lui bomb. To believe Tate actually managed to knock that ball backwards is to believe in flying pigs and the Loch Ness Monster.
That's when things went completely pear-shaped with both sides dropping the pill at pretty much every opportunity they got. Both sides had a handful of tries denied, more opportunities were literally dropped over the line.
Kevin Gordon and Brad Tighe scored scrappy tries for the Titans with Greg Bird and Aidan Sezer converting their efforts.
Aidan Sezer, in a moment of genius and foresight managed to slot through a field goal making the score 13-6.
At fulltime the Cowboys played hot-potato with the ball, throwing Hail Mary's left, right and centre. It all paid off when Matt Scott bounced out of a Dave Taylor tackle to lunge over the line bringing the Cowboys agonisingly close to victory.
Ash Harrison and dynamic hooker, Paul Carter, may find themselves in a bit of hot water over a blatant shoulder charge and a dangerous tackle respectively.
Carter will be a major loss if he does cop a suspension because he has been an energetic and smart little dummy-half off the bench.
The Titans come up against a formidable foe in the Melbourne Storm this week.
